I'm in Mexico!
I made it! I'm in Mexico! It took me 11 hours to get here, 4 1/2 of which was a layover in NYC, but I got here. I was relatively painless. I played my DS SpanishCoach, and am now a second grader. This did not mean that I had any idea what anyone was saying around me. On the flight to Mexico City, I was surrounded on all sides by cute Englishmen. They all had absolutely wonderful accents, and they all assumed that I was flying home and kept trying to speak broken English accented Spanish to me. I wish I had got where they were staying, they were planning to just walk around Mexico city for the next couple of days which is exactly what I was planning to do. And they were cute, Cute with English accents.
The Aussie I spoke with at the terminal in JFK was cuter, but harder to understand. Today was my day for cute foreign men. Lets hope this trend continues.
In side news, I read Sand Chronicles, and the art looks super familiar, I'm hesitant to look up who wrote it because then I might have more of an idea where this is going. (Though I think I know already) Living in prime hunting area in upstate ny, I really laughed at the part where she freaks out about the hunting. I can't even imagine being upset about eating deer, duck or rabbit. (Though, if I saw the fuzzy rabbit first I might change my mind. Not deer though, those things are pests.)
